OLMEC SYSTEMS’ TO INCREASE STAFF AT NEW YORK CITY
OFFICE ON SEPT 11TH
NEW YORK CITY,
NY, August 27, 2002 - Olmec Systems, headquartered in Denville, NJ, today announced the completion of renovations at its New York City office. The facility, located in midtown Manhattan, represents Olmec’s first major facilities addition in 2002. The expanded office will now include additional sales, marketing, service and executive management staffing. In recognition of the 9/11 terror attacks, Olmec is officially marking the first day of expanded operations in NYC on September 11, 2002 and additional staff will be reporting to the NYC office as of that day.
Olmec first opened the New York branch office on September 1st of 2001. “The New York office suffered a significant set back due to the terrorist attacks. The majority of our downtown clients closed up and many of the financial service firms that we prospect were out of business,” stated Mike Michalowicz, president of Olmec Systems.
While business in NYC has changed significantly for Olmec since the attacks on 9/11, Olmec is now back on pace with its original growth objectives for New York. “Our New York office didn’t grow as quickly as we anticipated in 2001 and first quarter 2002. We have modified our sales projections to account for 9/11, and now have set our most aggressive growth plan to date,” stated Michalowicz. Olmec’s NYC sales for third quarter 2002 is outpacing first and second quarter 2002 combined.
